Purpose:

We are seeking an experienced Nuclear Quality Assurance (QA) Manager to establish, implement, and manage our Nuclear QA Program in alignment with regulatory requirements and industry best practices. The QA Manager will integrate the newly developed Nuclear QA Program within the existing Worley Quality Management System and ensure ongoing compliance and continuous improvement. This role will also provide QA oversight on specific nuclear projects and consultative expertise to Worley Consulting clients.




Responsibilities:



  • Develop, implement, and maintain Worley's Nuclear QA Program, ensuring compliance with applicable codes, standards, regulations, and customer requirements.

  • Integrate the Nuclear QA Program with Worley's existing Quality Management System, streamlining processes and ensuring cohesive implementation.

  • Monitor program costs, track expenditures, and forecast future financial needs to ensure the program stays within the approved budget.

  • Oversee Quality Assurance activities across nuclear-related projects, ensuring that the program meets and exceeds all regulatory requirements and industry best practices.

  • Serve as an internal QA expert, providing guidance and training to project teams and stakeholders on nuclear quality assurance practices, conduct regular QA audits, inspections, and assessments to verify adherence to the QA program, addressing non-conformances and recommending corrective actions.

  • Ensure the collection and maintenance of auditable quality documents and records is performed.

  • Provide QA consultation and advisory services to Worley Consulting clients, assisting them in enhancing their own nuclear quality assurance practices and compliance frameworks.

  • Influence clients and effectively communicate Worley's capabilities and how Worley can meet and exceed customer requirements.

  • Collaborate closely with project teams, management, and external regulatory bodies, effectively communicating QA expectations, compliance statuses, and improvements. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of evolving nuclear QA standards, regulations, and industry trends, ensuring Worley's practices remain industry-leading.

  • Maintains an active presence in the industry presenting at conferences, chairing panels, and identify strategic teaming partners and subcontractors.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related technical field or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.

  • Advanced degree or certification in Quality Management (preferred).

  • ASQ Certified Manager of Quality / Organizational Excellence (CMQ/OE) or similar certification (recommended).

  • NQA-1 Certified Lead Auditor or ability to become certified within one year (preferred).



Experience

  • Minimum of 10 years' experience in nuclear QA.

  • Proven record of developing and implementing effective nuclear QA programs.

  • Experience overseeing diverse teams and managing multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Experience in conducting audits and investigations.

  • Demonstrated ability in making presentations to customers and management.

  • Experience managing and collaborating across a multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural organization.

  • Ability and willingness to travel throughout North America.


Technical Skills

  • Strong knowledge of nuclear industry regulations and standards (e.g., ASME NQA-1, NRC regulations, ISO 9001).

  • Ability to interpret and apply nuclear standards in strict procedural and regulatory contexts.

  • Exceptional technical writing and communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Strong organizational, managerial, and leadership skills.

  • Effective time management, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strategic mindset aligned with customer service and company values.
