Job summary

Construction Material Testing in Texas seeks a Lead Auditor to own the nuclear QA audit program under ASME NQA-1. You will lead internal and supplier audits, write objective reports, and verify corrective actions to closure.

You plan the annual audit schedule, supervise auditors and specialists, evaluate safety-related suppliers, and maintain qualification records for NRC-style oversight.

Qualifications

• Current qualification as an NQA-1 Lead Auditor or qualifiable within 90 days.
• 5+ years in nuclear quality assurance.
• Experience auditing to 10 CFR 50 Appendix B, 10 CFR 21, and NQA-1.
• Writes audit reports that NRC inspectors can follow.

Responsibilities

• Plan and maintain the audit schedule for the nuclear QA program.
• Lead audits end to end with a team of auditors and specialists.
• Evaluate and audit suppliers of safety-related items and services.
• Recommend supplier list changes, perform surveillances, close CAPs.
• Maintain lead-auditor and auditor qualification records.
