Job summary

S&ME Inc. is seeking an experienced Project Engineer or Geologist in Charlotte, NC. This position involves supporting varied civil and geotechnical projects in the nuclear sector. You will manage QA efforts, ensure compliance, and handle client interactions while enjoying travel and competitive benefits.

The ideal candidate holds a relevant degree and has significant experience, preferably in nuclear projects, traveling 10 days on/4 days off. Benefits include comprehensive health plans, ESOP, and a supportive work environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant experience in geotechnical investigations, construction, and/or engineering projects.
• Experience with nuclear projects is a plus.
• Consulting experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Field coordination of drilling operations to collect soil samples.
• Preparation of project proposals and reports.
• Lead and coordinate QA efforts across multidisciplinary teams.

Skills

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Ability to travel and work rotational schedule

Work outdoors in varying weather

Ability to lift and carry 40-50 lbs.

Education

Bachelor's degree in engineering, geology, environmental, construction, or related field
