Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Quality Assurance specialist to provide onsite fabrication oversight of nuclear components in a Columbia, SC facility. You will interpret NQA-1, SNT-TC-1A, and DOE requirements, prepare detailed weekly reports, and ensure compliance with CGD and Q/A documentation.

Responsibilities include hold/witness points, material control, CGD testing documentation, NCR handling, and coordination with customers.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma with 10 verifiable years of experience in quality control/inspection; nuclear DOE facilities experience preferred.
• Must have highly proficient computer skills for preparing documents and using spreadsheets to analyze data.
• Knowledge of assessment/audit techniques and NQA-1 Program implementation.
• Candidates must be a US Citizen.

Responsibilities

• Provide onsite fabrication oversight of nuclear components and maintain detailed weekly reports for customer review.
• Maintain total quality expectation and support to prevent mistakes.
• Perform Quality representative duties including Hold and Witness Points per specifications/WO.
• Manage CGD/document control, sourcing materials, and procurement documentation.
• Coordinate with customer QA Engineers on surveillance topics and testing documentation.
• Update NCRs and corrective actions; oversee testing documentation and final data packages.
• May perform other duties as assigned.
