Job summary

Safariland is seeking a Quality Engineer / Quality Assurance Engineer in Pittsburgh, PA. The role focuses on maintaining and improving the nuclear Quality Assurance Program and ensuring compliance with ASME NQA-1 standards. Candidates must have over 2 years of Quality Assurance experience in the nuclear industry, a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, and strong communication skills. Up to 10% travel is expected for project support and audits.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of Quality Assurance experience in the commercial nuclear industry or government nuclear work.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and contractual requirements.
• Experience working in a project-based engineering or services organization.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, implement, and improve NVE’s ASME NQA-1-based Quality Assurance Program.
• Ensure compliance with NQA-1, 10 CFR 50 Appendix B, and customer-specific QA requirements.
• Work closely with Project Managers and Engineers to integrate QA requirements into project execution.

Skills

Quality Assurance experience in nuclear industry

Hands-on experience with ASME NQA-1

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Education
