Job summary

ACS Professional Staffing seeks a Nuclear Project Scheduler III to lead schedules for nuclear and engineering projects on-site in Richland, WA. You will integrate Passport and Primavera tools, support project managers, and develop detailed plans for online work and outages.

The role requires a bachelor or equivalent with nuclear plant experience, strong leadership, and proficiency in MS Office. Must be a US citizen due to government contracting; on-site position with full-time hours.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management or Business, from an accredited college or university
  • Associate degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, Business, or a related technical field plus 2 years of experience
  • High school diploma or GED plus 4 years of experience in a technical field
  • Commercial nuclear power plant experience required

Responsibilities

  • Manage project activities for refueling outages, forced outages, and online work assignments
  • Provide oversight of staff involved in planning, leading, controlling, monitoring, and executing project work
  • Ensure work is implemented safely, with quality, on schedule, and within budget
  • Budget development and management
  • Work package preparation
  • Parts procurement
  • ALARA planning
  • Industrial and nuclear safety coordination
  • Risk management
  • Develop and manage contracts and interface with vendors
  • Develop project schedules commensurate with project size and complexity
  • Manage risk, track progress, enforce accountability, and oversee critical path and float management
  • Mentor and support less experienced project managers
  • Prepare and deliver written and oral communications to various groups including senior management
  • Develop and maintain long-range planning strategies for assigned projects
  • Support Self-Assessment and Corrective Action Program
  • Provide outage support including OCC support activities

Job description

Overview

ACS Professional Staffing is looking for an employee to work on-site with our client. This Nuclear Project Scheduler III will lead the development, coordination, and maintenance of project schedules for nuclear or engineering projects. The scheduler will perform schedule integration and maintenance between Passport and Primavera scheduling tools and provide advanced scheduling support to project managers for online work, outage projects, life-cycle initiatives, and Enterprise Risk projects. Responsibilities include developing detailed project plans and schedules, resolving complex schedule adherence and resource conflicts, supporting long-range planning efforts, and developing out-year schedules for large and complex projects. The purpose of this position is to ensure the delivery of timely, coherent, comprehensive, and accurate schedules that support daily, online, and outage work activities across the site while facilitating effective project execution and coordination.

This full-time position is located in Richland, WA.

Pay range: $78.81 - $111.22

Responsibilities

  • Resolution of schedule delays and conflicts
  • Develop project budgets and track project costs against budget
  • Maintain frequent communication with clients, engineers, related stakeholders, and management to ensure project progress and alignment
  • Develop and manage contracts and serve as the primary interface with vendors
  • Develop project schedules commensurate with project size and complexity
  • Manage risk, track progress accurately, enforce accountability, and oversee critical path and float management
  • Mentor and support less experienced project managers
  • Prepare and deliver written and oral communications to various groups, including senior management
  • Develop and maintain long-range planning strategies for assigned projects
  • Support implementation of the Self-Assessment and Corrective Action Program
  • Provide outage support, including OCC support activities
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, Business, or a related field from an accredited college or university; OR
  • Associate degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, Business, or a related technical field from an accredited college or university, plus 2 years of experience in a technical field; OR
  • High school diploma or GED, plus 4 years of experience in a technical field
