Job summary

Vistra Nuclear Operations Company seeks a Project Manager II to lead small to large scale O&M and Capital projects, overseeing budgets and schedules from definition through deployment. You will coordinate internal and external resources, manage scope, and communicate status to stakeholders while driving risk mitigation and project execution.

Ideal candidates have 8–10 years of project leadership experience (nuclear preferred) and strong MS Office/AI tool proficiency.

Qualifications

• 8–10 years leading and managing projects (preferred) or 12 years with high school diploma.
• Eight to ten (8-10) years’ experience at a commercial nuclear power plant preferred.
• CAPM or PMP certification recommended / within 2 years of becoming Project Manager II.
• Strong attention to schedule deadlines and budgetary guidelines.
• Proven ability to communicate with all levels of management.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications and AI tools.
• Willing and able to travel domestically to vendor/company locations.

Responsibilities

• Deliver projects within cost and schedule constraints involving multiple vendors and internal coordination.
• Provide high level customer service and proactive leadership to peers, groups, and customers.
• Drive continuous improvement and leadership on initiatives and projects.
• Ensure adherence to milestones for online and outage work management.
• Troubleshoot issues, assess options and risks, and keep projects on track.
• Manage scope, standards, and risk throughout the project lifecycle.
• Develop and maintain project management documentation of high quality.
• Partner with third-party resources, vendors, and researchers.
• Assign and monitor resources for project efficiency and deliverables.
• Report outcomes and risks to management and escalate as needed.
• Perform Emergency Response Organization (ERO) duties as assigned.
