Job summary

Southern Company in Baxley, Georgia, is seeking a Project Estimator for Plant Hatch to develop accurate conceptual, detailed, and final estimates supporting SNC Site Projects— including on-site walkdowns and ensuring estimates meet customer requirements.

You will work across mechanical, electrical, civil, and I&C disciplines, utilize WinEst and other estimating tools, lead estimate reviews, and coordinate with Project Controls for budgeting and scheduling, while maintaining nuclear access and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (ABET-accredited) or Building Science preferred.
• Equivalent experience in estimating and/or nuclear construction environments will be considered.
• Proficiency with estimating software (WinEst strongly preferred).

Responsibilities

• Prepare conceptual, detailed and final estimates using nuclear-estimating methods and unit rate databases.
• Lead estimate reviews with project teams and management and coordinate with Project Controls for budgeting and scheduling.
• Maintain ability to travel and hold unescorted access to a SNC nuclear facility.
