Job summary

Southern Company is seeking a Digital Project Manager for Plant Hatch to lead and execute complex digital projects across engineering, procurement, installation, and commissioning. You will manage scope, budget, and schedule, while coordinating with engineering, contracting, and operations to meet project goals.

The role requires nuclear plant experience, PMP or equivalently strong PM skills, and the ability to drive cross-functional collaboration with stakeholders including regulatory bodies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering preferred but not required.
• PM certification or the ability to obtain within 1 year.
• Nuclear plant experience in Engineering, Maintenance or Operations or equivalent military experience
• Minimum three (3) years of nuclear plant experience
• Minimum three (3) years utilizing project management type skills
• Build and sustain relationships across all levels of the organization including executive management and external stakeholders such as the NRC, INPO, etc.
• Working knowledge of project control techniques, design, work management, and procurement processes.
• Focus on understanding the business and leveraging that knowledge to partner with management to identify and monitor strategic, financial, operational and compliance risks, including emerging trends.
• The ability to solve problems and make sound judgments, based on experience and proper risk evaluation tools, to provide timely and appropriate resolutions to issues that might impact personnel safety, plant performance, budget, and project execution.
• The ability to communicate issues and drive problem resolution through various levels of management.
• Ability to effectively interface, build, and sustain relationships with other departments.
• Working knowledge of plant operations, design engineering and maintenance practices.
• Thorough knowledge of safety policies, procedures, and guidelines.
• Excellent written and oral communications skills.
