Job summary

Vistra Corp. seeks an experienced Project Estimator to predict costs for nuclear projects. The estimator plays a critical role in analyzing project specifications and design documentation to forecast expenses accurately. Key responsibilities include collaborating with project managers and engineers, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and re-evaluating estimates. Candidates should possess a technical degree, 10+ years of project engineering experience, and familiarity with nuclear fundamentals. Qualifications

  • 10+ years of project engineering, and/or project management.
  • 3-5 years performing project estimation.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze nuclear project drawings, specifications, and design documentation.
  • Forecast material, labor, and overhead costs associated with the project.
  • Document details and key assumptions associated with estimates.
  • Provide estimates for nuclear projects supporting PWR/BWR facilities.
  • Re-evaluate cost estimates during Long Range Planning process.
  • Research and obtain quotes from suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Work closely with engineers and project managers for accurate estimates.
  • Present detailed cost estimates to project stakeholders.
