Job summary

Vistra Nuclear Operations Company seeks experienced project estimators to forecast costs for nuclear projects, including design, procurement, construction, and maintenance. You will analyze technical drawings and documentation to determine expenses and schedules while upholding safety and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Analytical and mathematical skills to assess complex nuclear project requirements and calculate costs.
• Attention to detail with safety and regulatory compliance in cost calculations.
• Collaborative and able to work with site stakeholders to present estimates clearly.
• Familiarity with nuclear engineering principles, materials, and construction techniques.

Responsibilities

• Analyze nuclear drawings, specifications and design documentation to understand scope and requirements.
• Forecast material, consumables, labor, equipment, fees and overhead costs for projects.
• Document cost bases, assumptions and methods used for cost estimates.
• Provide fleet estimates for nuclear projects across PWR/BWR facilities.
• Re-evaluate estimates during Long Range Planning for future years.
• Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to obtain quotes and ensure estimate accuracy.
• Present detailed cost estimates to project teams and site stakeholders.
