Job summary

Enercon Services, Inc. seeks a Project Engineer to support mechanical projects within the Nuclear Services Group. You will develop engineering proposals with technical staff and manage projects within budget and schedule, maintaining strong client relationships.

The role requires at least 3 years of nuclear engineering or project management experience, leadership capabilities, and collaboration across disciplines. Based in Glendale, AZ or onsite in Tonopah, AZ with travel up to 15%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Nuclear or Chemical Engineering (or related).
• Design Engineering experience with the modification and implementation process, calculations, specifications, etc. in power facilities.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in the nuclear, power, or industrial industries as an Engineer or Project Manager.
• PE license strongly preferred.
• Ability to understand and work with budget and accounting processes.
• Excellent organizational, time management, strategic planning, writing, communication, decision-making, and presentation skills.
• Effective communication skills with demonstrated ability to work across disciplines and teams.
• Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to gain and maintain unescorted access at nuclear sites.
• Ability to travel between 10-15% of the time; duration of travel may vary depending on project and client needs, ranging from a few days to a few weeks

Responsibilities

• Leadership & Coordination: Provide interdisciplinary coordination for design engineering projects and serve as a technical leader to ensure the project solution and quality goals are met.
• Manage client interactions and negotiate/control project scope to client and company's satisfaction.
• Foster and maintain working relations with assigned clients and act as a single point of contact for assigned projects
• Project Management Excellence: Plan, execute, and finalize projects according to established schedule and within budget.
• Understand project schedules, project management plans, and manage project staff to ensure project requirements are met.
• Formulate/develop detailed project reports.
• Understand project financials and be able to report regularly to management on financial status and overall project performance
• Strategic Growth & Innovation: Work with technical staff to develop winning, highly technical engineering proposals.
• Aggressively support marketing efforts, including identification of new opportunities, proposal preparation, and follow-up
