Job summary

The U.S. Pacific Fleet seeks a second level supervisor to oversee work operations in support of naval nuclear ship repair, maintenance, modernization, and overhaul on Guam.

You will plan, coordinate, and direct a variety of related tasks through subordinate supervisors, analyze schedules, determine manpower and material needs, and set deadlines and quality standards. This role requires compliance with DoD ethics, E-Verify, security clearances, and overseas requirements.

• This position may require travel to places within and outside the contiguous United States which could include remote or isolated sites. You may be required to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
• If eligible for permanent change of station, the appointee will be required to sign a transportation agreement to establish a Government time in service requirement of 12 months.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Passport.
• May be required to obtain a VISA dependent on the overseas country's laws/regulations.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:

• Directing and overseeing the planning, scheduling and execution of nuclear production work applicable to ship availability.
• Planning, scheduling and execution of nuclear production work in the overhaul, repair, modification and conversion of nuclear ships.
• Experience in technical specifications and work practices associated with the overhaul, repair, modification of nuclear ships.
