Job summary

The Carnegie Endowment for International Peace in Washington, DC seeks a full-time Research Assistant for its Nuclear Policy Program. The role supports world-leading scholars on deterrence, arms control, nonproliferation, and nuclear energy through research, writing, and project coordination.

Hybrid work is required with in-office days on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Strong writing and analytical abilities are essential; knowledge of nuclear policy is a plus.

Qualifications

• Ability to balance multiple tasks under time pressure.
• Knowledge of and experience in nuclear policy is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Support research for the Nuclear Policy Program.
