Job summary

ANSER in Arlington, VA seeks an International Programs Analyst to support the Office of the Deputy Assistant Secretary of War for Nuclear Matters. The role focuses on international engagements related to the safety, security, and survivability of U.S.

nuclear forces forward deployed abroad, and on treaty and policy implementation. This full-time onsite position requires TS/SCI clearance, strong written communication, and experience with international diplomacy and defense policy.

Qualifications

  • Active TS/SCI clearance required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in international relations or related field.
  • 6+ years SES-level experience with international partners and diplomacy.
  • Experience with international and/or bilateral treaty agreements.
  • Strong writing/editing skills for senior decision makers on technical topics.
  • Proficiency with MS Office and Adobe Acrobat.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare briefing materials and talking points for senior officials (ASW/ND-CBD) and NATO-related work.
  • Organize meetings, develop materials, and analyze data for NATO HLG/HLV processes.
  • Lead efforts to develop materials and analyze information for NATO nuclear modernization.
  • Engage with NATO Allies on basing and other security strands related to U.S. nuclear weapons forward deployment.
  • Staff and advise on governance under MDAs (U.S.-UK MDA, AUKUS) and JAIEG activities.
  • Review, analyze, and support negotiations of international agreements involving nuclear weapons and materials.
  • Support policy updates, incident response planning, and training; draft briefings, staff products, and trip books.
