Job summary

Southern Nuclear seeks a Site Project Lead to manage major project implementations at Vogtle. You will oversee scope, schedule, and budget, lead project teams, and drive readiness through planning, risk assessment, and stakeholder coordination.

The role requires strong leadership and communication, with travel up to 25%. Ideal candidates have prior site PM experience in nuclear or equivalent facilities, plus a BS in engineering or related field.

Qualifications

• Previous site project lead or project manager experience preferred.
• Experience implementing projects in nuclear or other operating facilities preferred.
• Demonstrated leadership and project management skills required.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills required.
• Willingness to travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and lead project implementation at the site, ensuring scope, schedule, and budget adherence.
• Manage project teams, including task directors, supervisors, and workers.
• Develop plans to assess team proficiency and provide leadership for readiness.
• Coordinate testing/startup support and ensure turnover readiness for operations.
• Ensure safety processes, regulatory compliance, and risk management are in place.
• Engage stakeholders across operations, maintenance, and engineering.
• Optimize procurement of equipment and spares and resolve technical issues.
• Represent projects in implementation challenge meetings and communicate with management.
