Job summary

Constellation in Delta, Pennsylvania, is seeking an entry-level Equipment Operator to begin hands-on training in the Operations family with a pathway to a Reactor Operator license. The role includes one year of initial non-licensed operator training, then shift duties on an operations team.

This is a shift work position with rotating day and night schedules. Preference for those who view this entry-level role as a stepping stone to reactor license training and advancement.

Qualifications

• High school Diploma or GED is required.
• Bachelor of Science in engineering/engineering technology or related science recommended.
• 43 credit hours in advanced math, physics, chemistry and/or engineering/engineering technology is acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Starts, stops, and monitors nuclear reactor and turbine systems in accordance with procedures.
• Maintains awareness of plant indicators and alarms and initiates emergency actions as needed.
• Participates in station fire brigade activities and supports shift supervision.
• Manages special tasks during refueling, including control manipulation and observing radiation monitoring instruments.
• Ensures turnover logs are accurate and follows NRC license administrative procedures.
