Job summary

Constellation Energy Corp. in Middletown, CT is seeking an entry-level Auxiliary Operator within the Operations job family.

The role leads to becoming a licensed Reactor Operator and potentially a Senior Reactor Operator, with one year of initial non-licensed operator training. The position operates on rotating day and night shifts, monitors and controls reactor and turbine systems, performs routine testing, and supports safe plant operation under NRC procedures.

Qualifications

• High school Diploma or GED required along with one of the listed pathways.
• 1 year Power Plant Experience OR 2 years of non-generating nuclear power facility experience OR a Bachelor of Science degree in engineering/engineering technology OR 43 credit hours with advanced math/physics/chemistry/engineering coursework.
• Must successfully pass BMST and POSS tests.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, control and operate nuclear station equipment in the control room.
• Start/stop/adjust pumps, valves and systems as directed for plant operations.
• Monitor recorders and indicators to ensure operation within prescribed limits and respond to alarms and events.
• Assist in administrative procedures and NRC license requirements, including shift turnovers and log maintenance.
• Participate in station fire brigade duties and support supervision in coordinating operations.
