Job summary

System One is hiring a Nuclear Operations Specialist and Procedure Writer who will lead a team to develop operations and administrative procedures for the plant, ensuring compliance and quality. You will coordinate with regulators, project partners, and other departments to streamline development and implementation of procedures.

You will also guide the use of electronic procedures, support regulatory processes, and contribute to budgeting and planning efforts for program development.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 10 years of nuclear power plant operator, maintenance, or engineering experience.
  • At least 5 years developing nuclear procedures for plant operations, including 2 years on administrative programs.
  • Leadership experience as a team lead, supervisor, or manager for at least 2 years.
  • Deep knowledge of nuclear power plant systems and terminology.
  • Experience interpreting nuclear information and standards to maintain procedural and regulatory compliance.
  • Proficiency with MS Word/Excel/PowerPoint and procedures software.
  • Excellent technical writing and communication skills, with attention to detail.
  • Self-starter able to develop innovative solutions independently.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize software tools to develop electronic procedures, workflows, and manage document transfers in the EDM system.
  • Identify opportunities to improve and streamline administrative and operational processes, implementing changes as needed.
  • Assist with regulatory review processes (e.g., 10CFR50.59, 10CFR72.48) and ensure procedures reflect latest regulatory requirements.
  • Engage industry peers, vendors, and regulators to innovate and improve procedure development.
  • Maintain detailed records of procedure revisions and development activities for audit readiness.
  • Support department goal setting, budgeting, and project planning efforts.

Overview

System One is hiring a Nuclear Operations Specialist and Procedure Writer who reports directly to the Procedure and Program Development Manager and is responsible for developing administrative programs that support operation and maintenance, providing guidance to procedure developers to ensure consistent implementation of programs, identifying and scheduling procedure development to support program activities, and maintaining quality during development of Operating and administrative procedures. Programs may include, but are not limited to, Corrective Action, Engineering Change, Configuration Management, Maintenance Coatings, Chemical and Consumable Control, etc. In this role, you will lead a team to develop administrative procedures for the plant as well as lead initiatives to streamline nuclear plant programs. The successful candidate will integrate and coordinate with other departments, project partners, regulators, and outside organizations working on procedure development.
