This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Test Engineer & Procedure Writer Senior Consultant - Nuclear based in United States.

This senior consulting role supports complex nuclear power projects across testing, commissioning, operations, and procedure development.

You will help ensure plant systems are properly tested, documented, and prepared for safe and reliable operation.

The position combines engineering expertise with procedure writing, project coordination, field verification, and client engagement.

You will work closely with engineering, construction, commissioning, regulatory, and client teams to resolve issues and maintain project progress.

The role offers the opportunity to influence critical project documentation and startup activities in a highly regulated environment.

Travel to client offices, vendor locations, and nuclear plant sites will be required to support design reviews and field activities.

Accountabilities

• Facilitate communications between clients, owners, regulators, engineering teams, construction teams, and other project stakeholders to support effective project execution.
• Coordinate technical and project issues between engineering and construction teams and help drive timely resolution of project activities.
• Review corrective action matters, including engineering, construction, commissioning, and other project deficiencies, and provide recommendations for appropriate resolution.
• Develop detailed startup plans required for functional testing of process systems and support successful testing and commissioning activities.
• Prepare system turnover packages in accordance with established project procedures and requirements, including reviewing system testing documentation for completeness and accuracy.
• Review, create, and revise operations and maintenance procedures for nuclear projects, ensuring documentation accurately reflects plant requirements and operating practices.
• Evaluate proposed procedure changes to confirm that revised requirements are accurately incorporated and assess their potential impact on existing procedures.
• Ensure procedures are prepared in accordance with applicable nuclear industry standards, project requirements, and established procedure-development practices.
• Support design reviews and project coordination activities through travel to client and vendor offices as required.
• Conduct field verification of designs and support construction coordination at nuclear plant sites.
• Provide clear technical presentations, written documentation, and recommendations to clients and project stakeholders.
• Build and maintain strong professional relationships with clients while representing project objectives with sound judgment, technical credibility, and professionalism.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Nuclear Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a closely related discipline; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
• 20+ years of applicable professional experience, including significant experience with nuclear power plant construction, procedure writing, commissioning, and initial plant operation.
• Demonstrated expertise in developing, reviewing, and revising nuclear operations and maintenance procedures.
• Strong knowledge of current standards and requirements governing nuclear procedure preparation and documentation.
• Practical understanding of nuclear plant testing, startup, commissioning, construction coordination, and turnover activities.
• Strong ability to review technical information, identify deficiencies or inconsistencies, evaluate impacts, and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
• Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Demonstrated experience building productive relationships with clients, owners, regulators, engineering organizations, contractors, and other project partners.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to coordinate multiple technical priorities in a complex project environment.
• Sound independent judgment, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to safety, quality, compliance, and technical accuracy.
• Willingness and ability to travel to client and vendor offices and nuclear plant sites for design reviews, coordination, and field verification.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship for this position.
