Job summary

Volto Consulting is seeking a Parts Specialist for an onsite 12-month role in Milford, OH. The candidate will manage BOM structures, PLM promotions, and change management in a nuclear/defense context.

Responsibilities include creating and updating parts, performing BOM where-used analysis, and maintaining lifecycle data across part families and alternates. ITAR experience is a plus. 100% onsite in Milford, OH 45150.

Qualifications

• 5-12 years of experience as a Parts Specialist.
• Nuclear/Defense industry experience.
• Export Control experience.
• PLM (Product Lifecycle Management).
• BOM Management and documentation control.
• Standard Part Creation & Lifecycle Maintenance.
• Engineering Change Requests / Change Management.
• BOM Where-Used Analysis and part lifecycle data.
• Part families, attributes, lifecycle status, alternates & supersessions.
• ITAR experience.

Responsibilities

• Create new parts and maintain existing BOM structures based on approved engineering changes.
• Initiate and manage change requests for parts and standard components.
• Collaborate with Engineering to resolve PLM promotion and release issues.
• Perform BOM where-used analysis and maintain part lifecycle data.
• Update part attributes, interchangeability, supersessions, alternates, usage rules and reference documents.
• Restore retired child parts to active status based on approved Engineering / configuration management.
• Identify and create alternate parts when required.
