Xcel Energy invites top students for a summer internship focused on auditing support, data management, and field observations. The role blends office work at the Minneapolis location with field activities across Monticello and Welch, MN, under a hybrid model.

The position starts May 24, 2027, with potential extension based on performance and business needs. Applicants should be enrolled in an ABET-accredited engineering program and willing to travel locally.

Qualifications

• Current student, Freshman or higher.
• Enrolled in an ABET accredited college or university and pursuing a degree in Engineering.
• In state travel, access to car is preferred.
• Able to work full-time during the summer (up to 40 hours a week) and commuting to the designated work location in-person, per our hybrid work policy.

Responsibilities

• Excel Spreadsheets and Database creations.
• Support audit team on technical reviews.
• Perform field observations.
• Documentation reviews.
