Job summary

Constellation Energy in Clinton, Illinois, is seeking Initial License Trainees to become licensed Senior Reactor Operators. The program trains you to supervise reactor operators in the control room and prepares you for NRC licensing.

You will attend classroom and on-the-job training, complete all phases to obtain the SRO license, and you may support outage activities and emergency response as part of the role. Relocation assistance is available for eligible candidates.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1 year Reactor Operator license at a comparable facility or 1.5 years at a noncomparable facility.
• 1.5+ years in a role equivalent to Reactor Operator/Supervisor at a military reactor or similar.
• 4-year degree in engineering/related field or professional engineer license, with 1.5+ years in a qualified role.
• Current or previous SRO Instructor certification and 4 years at a comparable facility or 6 years at a non-comparable facility.

Responsibilities

• Attend Initial License Training (ILT) with classroom and on-the-job instruction.
• Complete all training phases to obtain an SRO license to supervise licensed operators.
• Support outage activities, emergency response, and department coverage as directed.
