Northern Nevada Medical Center in Sparks, NV is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist for a full-time 40-hour week. Under the supervision of the imaging services medical director, you will prepare, measure and administer radiopharmaceuticals for diagnostic studies and ensure patient safety.

This role includes performing nuclear medicine studies, maintaining regulatory compliance, and participating in CQI activities.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an approved ARRT program with certification.
• Licensed in Diagnostic Radiology or Nuclear Medicine.
• Current BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, measure and administer radiopharmaceuticals as prescribed by a licensed practitioner.
• Perform and assist with nuclear medicine studies.
• Ensure patient safety and maintain regulatory compliance.

**RELOCATION OFFERED**

This Nuclear Medicine Technologist opportunity is full time at 40 hours per week, offers full benefits and a convenient weekend day shift schedule. Under the supervision of the diagnostic imaging services medical director and department director, the nuclear medicine technologist is responsible for preparing, measuring and administering radiopharmaceuticals for use in diagnostic studies per specific physician orders and department policies and procedures. Performs and assists with nuclear medicine studies. Is responsible for patient safety protocols. Maintains all federal, state, local and regulatory agency requirements. Participates in CQI activities.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

• Corroborating patient's clinical history with procedure, ensuing information is documented and available for use by a licensed independent practitioner
• Identifying, preparing and/or administering radioisotopes as prescribed by a licensed independent practitioner
• Evaluating images for technical quality, ensuring proper identification is recorded
• Identifying, preparing and/or administering ionizing radiation (x-ray in the performance of computed tomography and radioactive material) and radiofrequencies within a magnetic field (magnetic resonance) as prescribed by a licensed independent practitioner

Qualifications
