Job summary

Lakewood Ranch Medical Center is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to support PRN scheduling and perform nuclear scans under radiologist supervision.

Under direction, you will ensure quality imaging, maintain equipment, and follow safety procedures in an acute care setting, with emphasis on patient care and isotope management.

Qualifications

  • Satisfactory completion of formal radiological training in an AMA-approved school of Nuclear Medicine.
  • 3 years experience as a registered nuclear medicine technologist in an acute care hospital.
  • Preferably registered by and in good standing with ARRT and State License in Florida (mandatory).
  • Current American Red Cross or American Heart Association BLS/CPR certification.
  • Venipuncture certification preferred.
  • Communication, interpersonal, basic computer and customer service skills required.

Responsibilities

  • Orders all isotopes as needed for studies which are pending.
  • Maintains equipment and hot lab according to state and federal regulations.
  • Performs all QC procedures.
  • Maintains radiation safety badges and logs.
  • Cross-trained in other radiology modalities preferred.
  • Follows guidelines set forth by the American College of Radiology.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Overview:
