Job summary

HCA Florida Oak Hill Hospital is seeking a Florida-licensed Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team on a full-time basis. You will perform diagnostic and therapeutic technical procedures utilizing radiopharmaceuticals with care, compassion and professionalism.

Your tasks include preparing radioactive isotopes, administering and recording dosages, and using scanners or scintillation cameras to image organs.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited AMA-approved Nuclear Medicine Technology training program.
• Active Florida Department of Health licensure (CRT).
• CNMT certification through NMTCB.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Recent experience as a licensed Nuclear Medicine Technologist preferred.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform required movements.

Responsibilities

• Use radioactive isotopes to perform organ and body scans.
• Prepare radioactive isotopes for administration to patients in accordance with physicians' orders; Administer and record dosages as well.
• Perform diagnostic studies on patients using scanners or scintillation cameras to detect radiation emitted and to produce image of organ on photographic film
• Position patients and adjust immobilization devices.
• Compassionately explain procedures to patients and addresses concerns.
• Monitor, record and communicate utilizing computerized documentation (MEDITECH).
• Assist with transporting patients.
