Job summary

HCA Florida South Shore Hospital is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our imaging team on a part-time basis. You will perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures using radiopharmaceuticals with careful, compassionate patient care.

Responsibilities include preparing isotopes, operating imaging equipment, and documenting findings. The role requires Florida licensure, BLS/ACLS, and at least one year of experience in nuclear medicine.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology from AMA-approved program.
• Active Florida Nuclear Medicine License.
• Minimum of one year of recent Nuclear Med Technologist experience.
• BLS certification with ACLS within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Use radioactive isotopes to perform organ and body scans.
• Prepare isotopes for administration and record dosages.
• Operate scanners or scintillation cameras to produce organ images.
• Position patients and adjust immobilization devices.
• Explain procedures to patients and address concerns.
• Monitor, document and communicate using computerized systems.
• Assist with transporting patients.
