Job summary

Mercyhealth Wisconsin and Illinois is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to perform specialized imaging, prepare patients, administer radiopharmaceuticals, and operate imaging equipment with strict radiation safety standards. You will collaborate with radiologists, document studies, and ensure high-quality patient care.

The role involves PACS/RIS duties, support for PET services, and adherence to safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nuclear medicine program.
• 1–3 years experience preferred, but new graduates considered.
• CNMT or ARRT(N) certification required.
• IEMA-DNS Nuclear Medicine accreditation if working in Illinois.
• CPR or BLS certification within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform nuclear medicine procedures to produce diagnostic images for physician interpretation.
• Prepare patients for procedures and ensure safety.
• Operate nuclear medicine equipment and maintain data quality.
• Adhere to radiation safety protocols to protect patients and staff.
• Document and report safety incidents per protocol.
• Utilize PACS/RIS to archive and share images and reports.
• Assist PET services as needed.
• Support medical records and image sharing processes.
