Job summary

Adventist Health Bakersfield seeks a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to administer radiopharmaceuticals intravenously for imaging or therapy and to coordinate patient flow. You will prepare doses, perform screenings, and ensure quality control across procedures.

The role requires CA licensure, ARRT NM or NMTCB certification, and venipuncture proficiency, with emphasis on safety and accuracy in a hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Diploma/certificate in Nuclear Medicine is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in nuclear medicine technology preferred.
• State Nuclear Medicine license required in CA.
• ARRT NM or NMTCB certification required in CA/OR.
• Venipuncture certification required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares, administers, and measures radioactive isotopes for imaging and therapy.
• Performs diagnostic screening procedures and coordinates patient flow.
• Documents all pertinent information regarding radioactive materials and surveys.
• Calculates and administers doses; ensures safety and quality control.
• Escalates issues to senior staff as needed and performs related duties.
