Job summary

Navarro Regional Hospital is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist I to perform diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine procedures under physician supervision. You will prepare radiopharmaceuticals, operate gamma cameras and PET scanners, ensure radiation safety, and document procedures in the EMR, collaborating with radiologists and cardiologists to deliver high-quality patient care.

Qualifications include state license, ARDMS/ARRT or NMTCB certification, BCLS, and 0-2 years of experience

Qualifications

• Proficient in nuclear medicine imaging techniques and radiopharmaceutical preparation.
• Knowledge of NRC, state, and federal regulations for nuclear medicine and radiation protection.
• Ability to identify abnormal scan results and troubleshoot to improve imaging accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Perform nuclear medicine imaging procedures and therapies per physician orders.
• Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals following safety protocols and policies.
• Assess patient condition before procedures and verify identity and eligibility.
• Operate and calibrate gamma cameras and PET scanners for optimal image quality.
• Maintain NRC/state regulatory documentation and quality control checks on equipment.
• Ensure safe handling, storage, and disposal of radioactive materials.
