Job summary

Mary Washington Healthcare is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to prepare patients and radiopharmaceuticals and perform routine nuclear medicine procedures in accordance with physicians' orders and the procedure manual.

The Nuclear Medicine Technologist produces high quality images and prepares/presents them with appropriate comparison studies and other exam results or pertinent patient information to the Radiologist for timely interpretation.

Qualifications

• CNMT or ARRT registered or registry-eligible; must pass within one year of hire.
• AHA BLS Provider CPR required.
• Completion of accredited two-year Nuclear Medicine Technology program or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for nuclear medicine examinations and verify orders.
• Perform nuclear medicine procedures across patient age groups.
• Maintain safety, records, and quality control per policy and regulatory standards.
• Supervise and instruct students; support radiology cross-training.
• Monitor inventory and ensure uninterrupted service delivery.
