Job summary

Texas Children's Hospital is seeking a Nuclear Radiology Generalist to deliver accurate imaging in a fast-paced setting and ensure patient safety. You will integrate scientific knowledge with compassionate care to produce diagnostic results and assist radiologists.

The role requires formal radiology training, relevant certifications, and ongoing engagement in education. You will liaise with patients and the radiology team to maintain workflow and safety standards.

Qualifications

  • Formal diagnostic radiology education and licensing prerequisites.
  • Certifications in radiologic technology and CT proficiency required.
  • Nuclear medicine registry or ARRT special registrations preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assess contraindications and patient readiness for procedures.
  • Provide information to patients, providers and learners about roles.
  • Apply ALARA principles to minimize exposure to all.
  • Perform high-quality imaging and protect patients with shielding.
  • Accurate data entry and image management in EPIC/PACS systems.
  • Recognize emergencies and initiate procedures when needed.
  • Participate in continuing education and trainings.
  • Build rapport and coordinate communication within the department.

Technical diploma / formal diagnostic Radiology program
CMRT - Cert Med Radiologic Techngst by the Texas Medical Board
CT-ARRT - ARRT RegTech Cool Tomography
CNMT - Cert-Cert Nuclear Medical TECH NMTCB or N-ARRT - ARRT RegTech
