Qualifications

• Graduation from an approved Nuclear Medicine Technology program.
• Current Texas CMRT license.
• Certification either ARRT(N) or NMTCB acceptable.
• One year of experience preferred.
• Pediatric experience preferred.
• CPR certification preferred; to be completed within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Perform Nuclear Medicine procedures and demonstrate anatomy through proper positioning.
• Administer radiopharmaceuticals and contrast media per protocol.
• Operate gamma cameras and computing systems to acquire and analyze images.
• Explain procedures to patients and ensure proper preparation.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to safety protocols.
• Conduct quality control and testing on instrumentation and radiopharmaceuticals.
• Ensure safe handling, storage and disposal of radioactive materials.
• On-call availability and travel as required to service South Texas patients.

Education

Nuclear Medicine Technology program

Texas CMRT license

ARRT(NM) or NMTCB certification

1 year experience as Nuclear Medicine Technologist
