Job summary

South Texas Radiology Imaging Centers in San Antonio, TX is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to perform nuclear medicine procedures, ensure image quality, and maintain documentation in compliance with state regulations. The role administers radiopharmaceuticals, follows safety protocols, and collaborates with the radiology team to support accurate diagnostics.

ARRT (N) or NMTCB certification and a related education background are required.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required and completion of an accredited Nuclear Medicine program (JRCNMT preferred).
  • ARRT(N) registration or NMTCB certification required; temporary MRT certification allowed with timeline to permanent MRT.
  • Experience with nuclear medicine procedures, patient preparation, and quality control is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Performs Nuclear Medicine procedures and evaluates images for technical quality.
  • Administers radiopharmaceuticals to patients for diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
  • Adheres to all regulatory and safety procedures for radioactive materials.
  • Performs quality control/quality assurance and documents tests and results.
  • Maintains Radiology Information System records, scheduling, and charges for procedures.
  • Submits improvement ideas and supports department operations.
