The community you’ll be caring for: AdventHealth Winter Park

• Winter Park Memorial Hospital has served the residents of Winter Park and surrounding communities for over 50 years.
• Chartered in 1951, the hospital has grown into a 307-bed acute care facility, a model of community health and wellness.
• The hospital has expanded to include obstetrics, a Level II Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at The Dr. P. Phillips Baby Place, cancer care at the AdventHealth Cancer Institute, and state-of-the-art surgery, recovery, and rehabilitation at the AdventHealth Orthopedic Institute.

The role you’ll contribute:

Under supervision, the Nuclear Medicine Technologist performs technical procedures utilizing radionuclides for diagnosis and treatment. Responsibilities require independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative. Provides quality care to patients from pediatric to geriatric, actively participating in outstanding customer service and maintaining respectful relationships.

• Identifies patients using Florida Hospital’s guidelines, confirms exam accuracy, reviews physician requests, prepares radionuclides, explains procedures, and aseptically administers radionuclides. [Exam Supervision and Administration]
• Ensures equipment quality control, performs patient examinations with age-specific care, evaluates image quality. [Image Quality and Documentation]
• Presents completed exams and patient data to radiologists, assists with imaging, helps patients understand procedures, and provides exit instructions. [Personal Productivity and Accountability]
• Performs a range of Nuclear Medicine procedures, learns new technology, and helps develop team knowledge. [Clinical Competence]
