The role you’ll contribute:

Under supervision, the Nuclear Medicine Technologist performs a variety of technical procedures using radionuclides for diagnosis and treatment of diseases. Assumes responsibilities requiring independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative. Provides quality care to patients from pediatric to geriatric. Participates in outstanding customer service and maintains respectful relationships with all.

The value you’ll bring to the team:

• Identifies patients using Florida Hospital’s guidelines to confirm patient/exam accuracy before proceeding. Reviews physician requests for clinical validity. Prepares radionuclides, explains procedures, and aseptically administers radionuclides following BSI principles. [Exam Supervision and Administration]
• Ensures equipment meets quality control standards. Performs patient examinations using age-specific techniques safely and evaluates image quality for diagnostic detail. [Image Quality and Documentation]
• Presents completed exams and patient data to radiologists or cardiologists. Assists with image manipulation, patient dressing, answering questions, and providing exit instructions. [Personal Productivity and Accountability]
• Performs a range of Nuclear Medicine procedures with proficiency in camera acquisition and processing. Adapts to new technology and helps develop colleagues’ skills. [Clinical Competence]
