The role you’ll contribute:

Under supervision, the Nuclear Medicine Technologist performs technical procedures utilizing radionuclides for diagnosis and treatment. Responsibilities require independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative. Provides quality care to patients from pediatric to geriatric, actively participating in customer service and maintaining respectful relationships.

• Identifies patients using approved guidelines to confirm accuracy before examinations. Reviews physician requests for clinical validity. Prepares radionuclides, explains procedures, and aseptically administers radionuclides following BSI principles. [Exam Supervision and Administration]
• Ensures equipment meets quality control standards. Performs patient examinations using age-specific techniques, evaluates image quality, and documents findings. [Image Quality and Documentation]
• Presents completed exams and patient data to radiologists or cardiologists, assists with image manipulation, and supports patient needs, including dressing and providing exam information. [Personal Productivity and Accountability]
• Performs a range of Nuclear Medicine procedures with proficiency, learns new technologies, and helps develop colleagues’ skills. [Clinical Competence]
