The role you’ll contribute:

Under supervision, performs technical procedures in radionuclide utilization for diagnosis and treatment of diseases. Assumes responsibilities requiring independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative. Provides quality care to patients from pediatric to geriatric. Participates in outstanding customer service and maintains respectful relationships.

• Identifies patients using approved guidelines to confirm accuracy before exams. Reviews and ensures physician requests meet valid clinical indicators. Prepares radionuclides, explains procedures, and aseptically administers radionuclides following universal BSI principles. [Exam Supervision and Administration]

• Ensures equipment quality control, performs patient examinations using age-specific techniques, evaluates image quality for diagnostic accuracy. [Image Quality and Documentation]

• Presents completed exams and patient data to radiologists/cardiologists, assists with image manipulation, and answers patient questions. Releases patients with instructions as needed. [Personal Productivity and Accountability]

• Performs a wide range of nuclear medicine procedures with proficiency, learns new technology, and helps develop colleagues’ skills. [Clinical Competence]

Qualifications:

• Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist in Florida

• Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CMNT) or ARRT-N

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
