Job summary

Wellstar seeks a Nuclear Medicine technologist to support diagnostic imaging. You will perform department exams, set up equipment, and position patients to obtain high-quality studies while following safety protocols.

Required qualifications include an associates in Radiologic Technology and ARRT Nuclear Technologist certification (or equivalent) with at least 1 year of clinical experience; BLS certification is also expected.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Radiologic Technology required.
• Minimum 1 year of clinical patient care experience.
• ARRT Nuclear Technology certification or Nuclear Medicine Tech certification required at hire, BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Operate NM equipment and position patients to obtain quality studies.
• Ensure patient safety, proper identification, and informed consent per policy.
• Maintain equipment and keep facilities clean per infection control guidelines.
• Assess image quality and communicate with radiologists for final interpretation.
• Participate in preprocedural verification and Time Out processes.
