Job description

Job Title: Nuclear Medicine Technologist - Pool (250001NU)

Job Summary

Under the supervision of a Radiologist, Administrative Director, or Radiology Section Leader, performs radiographic procedures according to established protocols for various age groups. Requires a technical level that does not need constant supervision of technical details. Executes a variety of technical procedures requiring independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for radiological diagnosis. Assumes responsibility for designated areas or procedures, assessing the age-specific needs of patients. Acquires data for input into nuclear computers, maintains department computers, and performs all scans as outlined in the department manual. Complies with the mission, vision, and values of TGH while performing duties.

Qualifications
  1. Completion of a 2-year training program in Nuclear Medicine from an AMA-approved school.
  2. Licensed by the State of Florida in Nuclear Medicine Technology and holds a national registry such as the Nuclear Medicine Certification Board and/or the ARRT.
  3. Current CPR certification.
  4. Florida Licensure or within 90 days of obtaining licensure to practice as a Radiologic Technologist in Florida.
  5. Cannot perform exams prior to licensure evidence.
