Job summary

A healthcare organization is seeking a per diem Nuclear Medicine Technologist for their Londonderry, New Hampshire office, working one day per week. In this role, you will collaborate with RNs and MDs to facilitate patient care by performing nuclear stress testing and maintaining nuclear equipment. Qualifications

  • 1-2 years’ experience in Nuclear Medicine preferred.
  • Experience with Cardiac SPECT and PET strongly preferred.
  • ACLS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform nuclear stress testing, calibrations, and quality control procedures.
  • Maintain and order nuclear equipment and supplies.
  • Produce diagnostic images for interpretation.
  • Update and develop policies for nuclear cardiology testing.
  • Maintain isotope records and dispose of radioactive waste properly.
  • Ensure area safety and report abnormal calibrations.

About The Job

Our rapidly growing practice seeks a highly motivated per diem Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team, working one day per week. As a member of the Nuclear Cardiology section, you will work collaboratively with RNs and MDs to promote wellness and optimize patient outcomes and quality care.

What You’ll Do
  • Perform nuclear stress testing, calibrations, and quality control procedures.
  • Organize the nuclear stress schedule; maintain and order nuclear equipment and supplies.
  • Produce accurate flood maps on cameras and diagnostic images for interpretation.
  • Participate in updating and developing all policies and procedures for nuclear cardiology testing; assist in orienting new employees as needed.
  • Maintain isotope records and dispose of radioactive waste properly.
  • Participate in cleaning the area before, during, and after procedures; ensure area safety; report abnormal calibrations or images.
  • Assist with nuclear accreditation.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Engage with Practice Leadership to help develop and modify efficiencies.
What You’ll Need
  • 1-2 years’ experience preferred.
  • Experience with Cardiac SPECT and PET strongly preferred.
  • Graduate of a program in Nuclear Medicine Technology required.
  • Licensure in the state of NH required.
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Registered or Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) Certified required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS preferred.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organization skills.
  • Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Office).
  • Full working knowledge of Nuclear Medicine equipment and Radiation Physics.
Work Location

One day per week from our Londonderry, New Hampshire office.
