Job summary

Community Health Systems, Inc. seeks a Nuclear Medicine Technologist I to perform diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine procedures under physician supervision. Qualifications

• 0–2 years of nuclear medicine experience required.
• 2–4 years of nuclear medicine experience in an acute care hospital setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform nuclear medicine imaging procedures and therapies per protocols and physician orders.
• Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals safely.
• Assess patient condition and verify identification and contraindications.
• Operate and calibrate imaging equipment (gamma cameras, PET scanners) for quality imaging.
• Maintain documentation for NRC/state regulatory compliance and QC checks.
• Handle, store and dispose of radioactive materials per safety protocols.
• Communicate clearly with patients about procedures and post-care.
