Qualifications

• Completion of an AMA approved radiologic technologist training program.
• National Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist - Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board or National Registered Technologist - Nuclear Medicine Technology.
• California Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification.
• 1 year experience in nuclear medicine preferred; not required if a recent graduate from an approved technician training program.
• 6 months experience in the last year or 2 years full-time with a limited absence from nuclear medicine.

Responsibilities

Job description

Nuclear Medicine Technologist - Nuclear Medicine at Providence Little Company of Mary Torrance in Torrance, CA. This position is Full Time and will work -hour, Day shifts. The nuclear Medicine technologist provides health care services using radionuclides to assist in diagnosis and treatment. He/she has the advanced skills to perform a wide variety of nuclear medicine procedures, computer processing of data and other technical tasks necessary to produce images for the interpretation by, and at the request of a licensed practitioner. He/she exercises professional judgment in the performance of services and maintains a demeanor complementary to medical ethics while providing appropriate care essential for successful completion of procedures.
