Job summary

Bridgeport Hospital, part of Yale New Haven Health Services Corp., seeks a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to perform a full range of nuclear medicine procedures and ensure accurate record-keeping and patient safety.

The role requires CNMT certification, graduation from an approved Nuclear Medicine program, and experience in nuclear medicine; PET imaging experience is preferred. You will maintain NRC-compliant records, monitor lab safety, and train staff as needed.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an approved program in Nuclear Medicine Technology.
• Experience in Nuclear Medicine Technology; PET imaging experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs all Nuclear Medicine procedures.
• Demonstrates competent use of PACS as observed by supervisor.
• Performs test and maintenance procedures on equipment and apparatus.
• Prepares radiopharmaceuticals for administration and administers to patients.
• Maintains records per NRC license and radiation safety guidelines.
• Monitors department radiation levels and performs wipe tests.
• Orders supplies and radiopharmaceuticals as required.
• Instructs hospital personnel on handling isotopes and procedures.
• Assists with training of new staff and students.
• Plans and implements care for assigned patients.
• Accurately enters information and charges for procedures into RIS.
• Contributes to QA/quality management in the department.
• Chaperones patients as needed
