Job summary

Bridgeport Hospital, part of Yale NewHaven Health, seeks a PET CT Technologist to perform PET/CT imaging under supervision of the Imaging Supervisor and Practice Manager. You will ensure high-quality imaging and patient safety while applying age-appropriate protocols.

The ideal candidate has an AMA-approved Nuclear Medicine and Radiologic Technology program, AS degree (BS preferred), and at least three years PET experience including time at YNHHS; NMTCB or ARRT(N) certification; strong knowledge

Qualifications

  • Graduation from an AMA-approved program in Nuclear Medicine and Radiologic Technology.
  • AS degree is required; BS degree preferred.
  • Three years PET imaging experience, including at least one year at YNHHS.
  • NMTCB or ARRT (N) certification in Nuclear Medicine Technology.

Responsibilities

  • Performs high-quality PET CT imaging procedures using age-specific standards.
  • Conducts radiopharmacy duties including radionuclide handling and storage.
  • Performs quality control on gamma cameras and related equipment.
  • Follows ALARA guidelines to minimize radiation exposure.
  • Schedules patients and tracks arrivals/completions using Imagecast.
  • Demonstrates professional conduct and assists coworkers as needed.
