Zusammenfassung

VCU Health is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to perform diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine procedures, including radiopharmaceutical preparation and quality control. The role requires compliance with ALARA and collaboration with licensed independent practitioners and support staff.

Candidates should have NMTCB/ARRT-N certification, a JRC-accredited NM program, and may need 1 year of PET/CT experience.

Qualifikationen

Certification by NMTCB or ARRT-N required prior to first day.
1 year of nuclear medicine or PET/CT experience preferred.
Graduation from a JRC Accredited Nuclear Medicine program.
Bachelor’s degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology or Radiologic Technology with NM emphasis preferred.
BLS for Healthcare Providers required.

Aufgaben

Perform nuclear medicine exams or therapies as ordered by a licensed practitioner.
Prepare radiopharmaceuticals and accompanying medications following standard protocols.
Ensure ALARA principles to minimize radiation exposure for patients and staff.
Maintain quality control of imaging equipment and supplies.
Educate and mentor students and other learners in the Radiology environment.
