• Proficiency in nuclear medicine imaging techniques and radiopharmaceutical preparation.
• Strong knowledge of NRC, state, and federal regulations for nuclear medicine and radiation protection.
• Ability to recognize abnormal scan results and identify technical errors to improve imaging accuracy.
• Effective communication and patient care skills to ensure comfort and understanding throughout procedures.

Responsabilidades

• Perform nuclear medicine imaging procedures and therapies per protocols and physician orders.
• Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals intravenously or orally following safety guidelines.
• Assess patient condition, verify identity, screen for contraindications, and ensure exam appropriateness.
• Operate and calibrate gamma cameras, PET scanners, and related imaging equipment.
• Conduct routine QC checks and document regulatory compliance.
• Handle, store, and dispose of radioactive materials per safety protocols.
• Document procedures and interactions in the EMR accurately and in line with policies.
