Trinity Health Michigan's Nuclear Medicine department at Chelsea Hospital seeks a part-time Nuclear Medical Technologist to operate hot lab and NM imaging equipment, performing procedures with ALARA principles and preparing radiopharmaceuticals under physician supervision.

The role includes patient intake, dose calculation, image acquisition (dynamic, static, SPECT/CT), quality control, and instrument maintenance. It offers day shifts, 24 hours per week, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technologist program, or Associate in Applied Science degree.
• Registration by NMTCB or ARRT.
• Current BLS certification.
• One year NM experience preferred.
• Knowledge of anatomy, venipuncture, quality control and NM imaging equipment.

Responsibilities

• Receives patients and explains procedures; monitors condition and safety.
• Calculates radionuclide activity and prepares appropriate doses.
• Performs quality control on radiopharmaceuticals and maintains sterility.
• Prepares imaging devices and administers radiopharmaceuticals.
• Performs NM imaging procedures (dynamic, static, SPECT/CT) and adjusts equipment.
• Monitors ancillary equipment and follows safety protocols.
• Maintains inventory and performs routine instrument maintenance.
