Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; graduate of CAHEA Radiologic Technology and/or CAHEA Nuclear Medicine Technology or equivalent.
• Certification in Nuclear Medicine Technology by NMTCB or ARRT; BLS-HCP required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; knowledge of radiopharmacy; maintain NM certification and CEUs.

Responsibilities

• Operates specialized equipment to obtain images and test results.
• Administers diagnostic and therapeutic doses to patients by IV, inhalation, and ingestion under supervision.
• Prepares patients for examinations and explains procedures; correlates patient history with tests.
• May assist with scheduling, registration, image management, and computer processing for patients.
• Interacts with staff and patients to coordinate and manage care per policy.
• Participates in training of students and staff; pursues educational opportunities.
