Job summary

St. Luke's University Health Network is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to perform diagnostic and therapeutic Nuclear Medicine studies, administer radiopharmaceuticals, and schedule IP/OP studies in accordance with regulatory guidelines.

The role requires proficiency in venipuncture, injections, and maintaining quality control, with compliance to NRC and PA state regulations. Radiopharmaceutical handling and departmental responsibilities will be emphasized.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an ARRT, JRCNMT, or CAMRT recognized education program or certified by ARRT or NMTCB; registry within 1 year of hire.
• If working in PET/CT, an NMTCB PET/CT registry within 1 year is recommended and maintained annually.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic and therapeutic Nuclear Medicine studies per departmental procedures.
• Educate patients regarding Nuclear Medicine procedures.
• Perform Quality Control on equipment per ACR standards.
• Demonstrate proficiency in venipuncture with radiopharmaceuticals and injections.
• Schedule patients and order radionuclides.
• Maintain hot lab and waste disposal areas per NRC and PA regulations.
• Operate RIS/HIS/PHS modules relevant to the role.
• Receive radionuclides.
